News of Emus
We’re happy as can be, having heard the news,
Of the recent addition to your herd of emus!
We hope he stays healthy, and grows like a weed,
Eating lots of pellets, and kale and seed.
The snow has been melting, For, lo! winter is past!
The flowers are growing--the chicks hatch at last!
O cute little emu, with your sweet little chirps,
We hope you are joined by many more little twerps!
