O Give Us Light
O give us light,
Dear Lord we pray;
Make it shine
Day by day.
Break every yoke;
Increase our joy;
The oppressor’s rod
O Lord, destroy.
For unto us
A Child is born;
O may His love
Our lives adorn.
Wonderful, Counsellor,
His Name shall be;
The Mighty God
He is to me!
Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace;
His glorious kingdom
Shall never cease.
The Lord is righteous
In all His ways;
My mouth shall praise Him
Throughout my days!
