Tell Ye the Mountains

Tell Ye The Mountains

Tell ye the mountains, let the hills hear thy voice;
 Publish salvation and let Zion rejoice!
The Son from all ages has been born as a Child;
 Though King of all kingdoms, yet lowly and mild.

Thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though little thou be,
 Yet out of thee shall come a Ruler unto me.
He shall go forth as bright beams of light,
 Shining in darkness as black as the night.

From everlasting to everlasting, O Lord, art Thou;
 Before Thee Thy children in reverence bow.
The Shepherd doth stand and feed His sheep;
 He teaches and rules, and His commandments they keep.

As the shepherds in Bethlehem, His own shall abide;
 Their standing is sure, their steps shall not slide.
When enemies distress us, and troubles increase,
 He’ll rise to defend us, for He is our Peace.

Like the dew from heaven, which waters the ground,
 So God’s people, wherever they’re found,
Bring blessing to others among whom they live
 When God in mercy His kindness doth give.

The remnant of Jacob among many shall be
 The Lion of Judah, from whom they shall flee;
Bold and courageous to overcome wrong
 Is our Lord of Hosts, we’ve awaited long.

Hear ye, O mountains, and listen, O earth:
 For the One Who is born of royal birth
Has the spirit of wisdom and counsel and might;
 He judges not by hearing and sight.

With righteous equity doth He judge the meek;
 Strength and comfort He giveth the weak.
From wells of salvation draw water with joy;
 Sing to the Lord, and His praises employ!
