Looking back
o’er the past,
It seems the
years have flown so fast;
Thirty years
since you were wed;
Thirty years
since “I do” was said!
Many memories
do you share,
With all the
toil, and all the care;
Believing alway
it was worth it all
When you look
at your children, once so small:
Now all grown
up; some on their own,
With the most
brilliant grandkids you’ve ever known!
It’s such fun
to debate, “He has your nose!”
And also,
“She’s got your toes!”
I’m glad for a
sister, and brother-in-law, too,
Who are
faithful, dear friends, through and through;
May your
happiness grow, year after year;
May you have
gladness and joy, blessing and cheer!
